About The Podcast
Why We Tell These Stories
The Louisiana Fire Fighter was built on a simple belief: the men and women who run into burning buildings deserve a place to speak — and the public deserves to hear them.
How It Started
Born From the Brotherhood
The Louisiana Fire Fighter started as a conversation between firefighters — the kind that happens after a long shift, sitting in the apparatus bay, processing what just happened. Those conversations were raw, honest, and full of the kind of insight that never makes it into an incident report.
The podcast was created to bring those conversations out of the firehouse and into the open. Not to sensationalize the work, but to honor it — and to give the public a real window into what fire and rescue service in Louisiana actually looks like.
Since the first episode, the show has featured firefighters, rescue technicians, and department leaders from across the state — from the bayous of the south to the pine forests of the north. Every guest brings a different story. Every story carries the same weight.
